I am a Scottish artist and designer, living and working in Greenock, on the Clyde coast. After achieving my Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Glasgow School of Art, I worked, firstly, in community arts and then in state education.
My art covers a variety of subject matter and approaches, but I mostly work in oils or acrylics.
The beautiful scenery of the west of Scotland provides me with endless source material; the majority of my work is centred around Inverclyde, the Mull of Kintyre and the Isle of Bute.
Much of my still life painting reflects a love of antique china, glassware and fabrics.
I have been involved in set and prop design for local theatre; also a rich source of inspiration.
I currently teach, one day a week, at the Stables Studio in Gourock Park and am a member of Greenock Art Club. I am also a member of Paisley Art Institute and the Scottish Society of Artists.
My work can be found at the Seagull Gallery, Gourock, the SSA website, the PAI website and online here.
